Fact Check Policy

At The Fact Site, we understand that accuracy is extremely important when presenting facts to our readers.

We believe that providing reliable, unbiased, and credible information is crucial for maintaining the trust of our audience.

To ensure the accuracy of our facts, we have established a thorough 5 step fact-checking process. This process involves multiple steps to verify the accuracy of each point we publish. Here’s how it works:

Research

Before publishing any information, our team conducts extensive research to gather data and sources.

We consult multiple sources to ensure that the information we present is up-to-date and accurate.

We always try to find the original source for a fact and do not use round-ups of other facts-related websites.

Verification

After we have gathered all the necessary information, our small but mighty team of fact-checkers verifies it by cross-referencing the data against other reputable sources.

This step is crucial to eliminate any potential errors or misinformation.

Review

In addition to cross-referencing data, we have the owner of The Fact Site, Luke Ward, review each fact to ensure that it is accurate and relevant.

Luke has been running The Fact Site since 2008 and has been fact-checking since before it was popular. His keen eye for detail and 15 experience in research, writing, and fact-checking allows The Fact Site to continue to be as accurate as possible.

Editing & Proofreading

Once the information has been verified, our editors and proofreaders review the content thoroughly to ensure that it is well-written and free of errors.

This includes checking for grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and any inaccuracies in the information presented.

Updating

Finally, our team regularly reviews and updates our content to ensure that it remains accurate and up-to-date.

We understand that information can change over time, and it is our responsibility to keep our facts factual.

On each article, there is a fact check box below the content; if you notice something inaccurate with an article, please tell us, and our team will review this and update it if necessary.

At The Fact Site, we take accuracy seriously. Our team of fact-checkers, editors, and editors work diligently to ensure that the information we present is accurate, reliable, and credible.

We are committed to providing our audience with the most up-to-date and accurate facts that are available.
