Strange and Pointless Inventions

Pointless inventions are something I often think about, my favourite being - Glow in the Dark Sunglasses, waterproof tea bags and an inflatable dartboard, although I wanted to look at the more serious inventions which companies think are actually a good idea.

Butter Stick - Haven't you always been so tempted to put your Pritt-Stick onto a round of toast and eat it? Well, me neither and I can't really imagine it tasting that nice too. Instead of glue though its butter inside this stick, so you can even carry it around with you! Plus you won't need to bother dirtying a knife now.




Phone Fingers - iPhones and all touch screen phones are really annoying when you get fingerprint marks on them, well the Phone Fingers is a great way of solving this problem. They come in four amazing colours, blue, pink, white and black! They even come in different sizes, all ten fingers for only £9. ThumbThing - It's a brilliant new invention for reading books, it's a device that you clip over your thumb so you can read with just one hand, and you can do anything else you want with the other hand.




Cat Napkin Chain - If you want a very unstylish gadget, then this is the one for you! Basically its two small grippers shaped like cats which hold the napkin 'exactly where you need it'! And it's only on the market for £10! If you want one, they sell them here.




Boot & Glove Dryer - Ever wondered how to dry your gloves? This funky looking gadget has a built-in fan to circulate air around your wet gloves and boots. "Keep shoes, boots and gloves dry and odour-free with this must-have outdoor gadget". Or you could save yourself £15 and simply put them on the radiator! Laser-Guided Scissors - This cool scissor tool will help you cut in a very straight line, that's assuming you are perfect at cutting in a line anyway... the laser is attached to the scissors which means if your hands shake, so does the laser! This really is cutting-edge technology! Motorised Ice-Cream Cone - Even I'm not this lazy, this device is used by people who are too idle to simply twist their wrist, all you have to do is put your ice-cream cone inside this battery operated turning cone and it will do all that hard work for you. No need to clean it by hand either, as its fine in the dishwasher, this useless thing can be found here for just £8!




PenAgain - This is basically a pen that you don't have to hold... "Normal pens are not designed around the human hand and can cause discomfort in the fingers, develop sore muscles in the hand, and pinch nerves in the wrist."
